At Gather Round, we believe every user should have full control over their personal information. You can delete your account and associated data at any time directly within the app. This page explains how the process works, what information is deleted, what may be retained, and how to request additional support.
How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Gather Round account by following these steps:
- Open the Gather Round app
- Go to Profile
- Select Account Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your deletion request
Once confirmed, your account enters our secure deletion process.
Data Deleted Upon Account Removal
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your user profile and login credentials
- Saved notes, entries, reflections, and personal logs
- Family group connections and shared spaces
- Subscription information and in‑app purchase history
- Any personalized settings or preferences
- Any other data directly associated with your account
This deletion is irreversible.
Data That May Be Retained
In limited cases, certain information may be retained for legal, security, or operational reasons:
- Legally required records (e.g., tax or transaction‑related data)
- Aggregated, non‑identifiable analytics used to improve app performance
- Fraud prevention or security logs, retained for a short period
None of this retained data can be used to identify you personally.
Data Retention Timeline
- All personal data associated with your account is deleted within 30 days of your request.
- Aggregated or legally required data may be retained for the period mandated by law but will never include personally identifiable information.
